  1. Mine is just a comment inregards how kenyans at home critizes kenyans abroad for doing lawly jobs,my point of disagreement with him is when he asserts that a kenyan leader seeking to be elected into paliament must seek the a proval of kenyans in diaspora. Its true kenyans in diaspora are contributing heavly in form of remitances but this money goes out in pieces bits here and there not to one central place,so this kind of money wont help the development of one impotant segment of the nation.
It is the people of kenya in jamu as we call them here in UK who decides who yo be voted by voting, that was not right dont take ppo at home as fools, there is a tendency by ppo from diaspora to think that they have aquired some form of higher intelligence just because they are living in ng’ambo this stems from inferiority africans see themselves infront of the whites.
Thats why you find that even where both parents are speaking lets say kikuyu, dholuo etc and living in abroad when they chat with thier kids they do it in language of the country they reside in but they never botha to teach there kids ie kikuyu, dholuo. They will even try to justify why its not good to teach there kids there language.
The blames goes to ppo of diaspora and not the other way round.
Where one in life starts does not matter, around late 70’s i used to see nakuru matress at one place in nakuru along kenyatta avenue opposite stags head.It was not a big shop,Today it has spread it wings in many parts of kenya and has ventured in other parts of east africa as super/mega/hyper market.
The great Nelson mandela started of as a watchman, today he among the greatest leaders of 21st century,a living saint.
You can start as care assistant or cleaner and end living big ,just hold your head high.

  6. its important to be proud of ones culture and language , the ability to relate to ones language enhances ones sense of belonging . why shy away from what is yours is living in cultural nihilism . which ever side of the coin you look at language is the window to empowerment, identity, self expression and socialization to the world.
