Dr. Charles Njonjo’s brother, Mr. Kimani Kang’ethe, has said that he will be meeting Kenyans today Monday 12th December at Notariebacken 11 in Alby from 18.00 hrs. Speaking to KSB, Mr. Kang’ethe said that his family would like to meet Kenyans to discuss details of the funeral including the Program.
Mr. Kang’ethe is very grateful for the hospitality he has so far received from Kenyans since he arrived yesterday and hopes that despite the short notice, Kenyans will be able to meet him ahead of the funeral on Wednesday, 14th December.
KSB appeals to Kenyans who can have time to meet Mr. Kang’ethe and touch base with the family following the death of Dr. Njonjo. It will be a big opportunity to condole with the family which has suffered a great loss following the demise of an illustrious son of Kenya and pioneer of the Kenya-Stockholm community.
The late Dr. Njonjo was the first African to set up a pub in Stockholm and during his life, he continued to maintain a strong sense of independence and intellectualism in all his endeavors.
We at KSB continue to hope that the family will gather enough strength to go through this very difficult and trying moment of great loss and sorrow.
Mr. Kang’ethe wished all Kenyans a great Jamhuri day, a merry Christmas and a prosperous New year.
