Inivitation to Brother Muirani’s Baptism – 20th/December
Brother Githuku wa Muirani, a Kenyan Christian resident in Stockholm, wishes to invite Kenyans, friends and well-wishers to his baptismal ceremony which will take place on Sunday 20th December 2009 at the New Life Church in Stockholm. The invitation has also been extended to all those who would like to fellowship with brother Muirani.
Speaking to KSB, Mr. Muirani said: “All this is for the glory of the Kingdom of God. It’s my humble prayer that our Kenyan community may turn to God because Jesus said in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”.
The New Life Church, where the ceremony will take place, is located at Fridhemsgatan 17 (Tube station Fridhemsplan) and the ceremony begins at 15.00 hrs. The Baptism will be through immersion.
Mr. Muirani, who has been undergoing tremendous spiritual transformation over the recent past, told KSB that he was baptized when he was a child when he still did not know much about life and added that the baptism he is destined to undergo on Sunday will be a spiritual one.
He asked for forgiveness from people he may have wronged in life and explained that with the impending baptism, he will become a new person whose life will be dedicated to serving the Lord. Brother Muirani had very strong message to Kenyans. He said:
“We have tried many ways, but Jesus is the answer to everything. Most Kenyans here were raised up as Christians but since we came here in Europe, we started to “worship” European Gods. If we turn from our wicked ways and turn our face to God, he will listen to us and forgive us our sins. Today the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is good news to those who knows Christ”.
