Excitment as Agwambo Surfaces at Stockholm’s “Little Nairobi”
Extreme excitement reigned supreme for almost one and a half hours when Agwambo surfaced under tight security at Lilla Wien (also known as Little Nairobi) to boogie down with Kenyan, African and other nationalities with Vumbi Dekula and Crew performing live. Agwambo was immediately taken over by a cute Kenyan babe who happened to have been having fun at Little Nairobi. As the Prime Minister went down with the Vumbi rythms, the crowd joined into the fun shouting “Agwambo… Agwambo”, “A man of the people”, “Agwambo kende…” and other friendly slogans. The omnipresent KSB agents were on the scene to document the biggest surprise ever at Lilla Wien.

This are the leaders we want in Africa, not those who want to communicate with Citizens when they are sitting on top of trees and the mwanainchi looking up to them. This class issue should kwisha……we are all same people when we are out there. Gratis Mr PM, I love your style……serious as a politician, very brave on your decision and leadership and yet very easy to mingle with people who support you…..Enjoy bwana Raila, you are also human.
For the cute Kenyan babe…am sure it felt great being a 1st lady for the few minutes you danced the big man haha…GREAT!!
2.Zamu you mentioned it all. Too much work without play would make the PM a dull man. But alas, after delivering a powerful speech at the EU conference which even the Swedish media beamed, and later addressing Kenyans, he could still come to party. It is this flexibility which makes him unique. He blends with others showing his social skills, meaning he is human.
I am saddened by the comments made by another Kenya-Stockholm blog owner which depict the PM in bad light by mentioning that he might have visited Stockholm’s red light zone frequented by prostitutes.
It does not matter one’s political leaning, but the PM is worth respecting both as a public and private figure. President Obama for example, goes wherever he wants, yet the right thinking Americans generally appreciate and rarely demean him. As usual, the blogger poached a photo from KSB then added the lousy story.
Sad to note that the level of hatred in some Kenyans is so deep yet they pretend that they are saints. The blogger thinks that all are as promiscuous as it is normally rumored about him.
Oh my goodness! Am still recovering from Friday night’s surprise at Little Nairobi when Kenya’s Prime Minister entered to party. I now understand why Raila knows how to draw crowds. Raila mania rules; you either love or hate him but Kenya is a better place with his bold and decisive nature.
Vumbi Dekula, Yaya Sella, Ngugi and the whole Band gave us a great show at “Little Nairobi” that Friday night. Prime Minister Odinga arrived just on time to dance a Franco/Madilu tune, and then the famous “Majengo siendi tena” – a classic Swahili beat, among a few others.
I reckon that was the biggest PR the PM has ever pulled in the Diaspora during his time in office. Even Lilla Wien’s owner wanted to shake his hand and felt honored by his presence. The crowd was in an ecstatic frenzy shouting, “Agwambo! Agwambo!” as cameras clicked away to capture memorable scenes of bodies gyrating to the wonderful African beats. Even Raila’s security relaxed because when Vumbi “produces dust” from his guitar, you simply can’t resist dancing.
Kenya-Stockholmer Gerry Midenyo went on stage and did a good job on the microphone by spicing up the night with lots of praise for the PM. For the first time ever, dancers shouted to the Dekula Band: “En gang till! En gång till” (Once more! Once more! Encore!). Vumbi had no choice but to pluck on the guitar past their closing time, sending the crowd swaying wildly.
The PM wound up his night at Little Nairobi by delivering a short message of thanks and well-wishes, leaving us all awed by his move. He did us proud.
Lakini Wakenya tunapenda raha. Huyo Prime Minister alifurahisha kabisa kutokea hapo Lilla Wien. I had a ball dancing with him. I feel this is what we need as somebody commented here, a flexible leader who knows how to mix both publicly and privately with Kenyans.
Huyo Mkenya mjinga wa blogu nyingine ana kinyongo anachukuwa picha hapa kwa Osewe alafu anaandika upumbavu juu ya Raila. Sijui huyo mtu mbona ana akili kuku hivyo. Azidi tu kumeza wembe imkate koo. Yeye ndio wa Koinange Street na Malmskillnadsgatan. What an evil mind he has. Ashindwe pepo mbaya huyo!
