“Odinga’s Stolen Presidency” Book Review
An explosive book about Kenya’s December 2007 bungled election has been launched in Stockholm. The book, Raila Odinga’s Stolen Presidency: Consequences and The Future of Kenya written by Mr. Okoth Osewe, a Kenyan author, takes the position that the December 2007 election was rigged by the Samuel Kivuitu-led Electoral Commission of Kenya (ECK) in favor of Mr. Mwai Kibaki who was immediately sworn in as President in a hurriedly convened secret ceremony at State House Nairobi on Sunday December 30th 2007. The disputed election precipitated a crisis that led to the slaughter of an estimated 1,500 Kenyans and creation of 350,000 internal refugees.
According to the book, the rigging of presidential election in Kenya was masterminded by the corrupt “Kikuyu ruling class” that had formed an impenetrable Mafia cartel around Kibaki and that worked in cahoots with ECK to allegedly steal the vote to hand Kibaki victory.
Detailed backgrounds of a group of “Fat cats who kidnapped Kibaki’s Presidency” are given in the book with top names featuring Dr. Joe Wanjui, a long time Kibaki ally, Kiraitu Murungi, Minister of Energy, John Michuki, Minister of Environment, Chris Murungaru, former Internal Security Minister, Francis Muthaura, Head of Civil Service and Secretary to the Cabinet and Njenga Karume, former Defence minister. The “fat cats” are painted as corrupt and blamed for having shielded the President soon after the December 2002 election in order to maintain Kikuyu hegemony on power, promote corruption and perpetuate tribalism in government.
Breaking News: Kenyan Lady In Crisis After Child Birth
A Kenyan woman who has been having a relationship with a white Swedish man is in crisis after giving birth to a dark skinned African baby which has been rejected by the Swede because the kid “is too black”.
The lady has apparently been “double-dealing” by distributing the valuable goods to both a secret African boyfriend and the Swede while posing like it is the Swede who is the man of the house.
The crisis has set Kenya-Stockholm “hot gossip channels” in overdrive. It is being said that a Kenyan “Brother in Christ” facilitated the connection between the Kenyan lady and the Swedish guy while some channels have told KSB that the brother is a leading suspect in the puzzle of the black kid.

Funeral Arrangemnts Of The Late GPO
Dear Friend, On behalf of the National Youth Convention (NYC) and the Partnership for Change (P4C), I would like to send our condollences to the family of GPO Oulu and Oscar Kingara and the 2nd Year UON student for their rather brutish death. We are very downtrodden. May their souls rest in eternal peace. We will not disappoint them, the work they had so passionately started will continue.
I would like to bring all to light in terms of preparatory arrangements for GPO’s death. The body is lying at Chiromo Mortuary for those who would like to go and view and give your final respects.
GPO was the only surviving sibling of the six that are already deceased in their family. He is survived by his dear mother and father. GPO was brought up by his mother. Note that he came from an extremely poor family. Immediately his father received information that his son was dead, he has since swiched off his phone. The very critically ill mother has not spoken a word since receiving the very sad news of her sole bread winner. GPO had no immediate relative in Nairobi. The whole story gets even more complicated.
In order to give GPO a heroe’s send off, it is going to be the initiative of mostly his friends, colleagues and comrades. The Postmortem of the body is bound to be conducted on Tuesday next week, IMLU has offered to take part in the exercise as an independent agency.
Mostly Friends will be meeting tommorow, Sunday 8th March at the Regional College/Institute on Moi Avenue, BIDCO Plaza (Opposite Jazz) 2nd Floor at 4.00PM in order to synergise efforts towards the burial. A few of the distant relatives will be meeting earlier and a brief will be availed at the meeting. Another meeting will be convened in the week in order to expand the efforts.
We would like to request you to contribute watever amount of money you can get in order to manage the logistics of the burrial that will be tentatively on Saturday 14th March 2009 in Holo, Kadawa Village in Kisumu Rural Constituency. Information will be availed on how you can contribute.
The Partnership for Change and NYC will be organising a Prayer Vigil in honour of the slain Legends of the Modern Day Activism in Kenya. The Venue and time for the Vigil will be communicated on Monday.
For more communiction and clarifications on arrangements, you can call the following people: Mr. Young (very Close friend of GPO) 0729055348, Mr. PJ Malaki (GPO’s Auncle) 0722682140.
Young is coordinating between the family and friends. We hope that by next week all the groups (Students, Colleagues, Friends, Civil Society Partners) meeting and arranging stuff will merge and make a larger committee for the arrangements and smooth flow. We will communicate again on Monday on te latest updates.
“We know it is not in vain….”Vengeance” is mine” Says the Lord.
Lets give GPO the very lst of what we could have given im, were e alive today.
Regards,
Emmanuel
For and on behalf of the NYC and P4C
