Piece Of Evidence To Peace And Justice Commission
KILLED BY GOVERNMENT AGENTS DURING THE DICTATORSHIP OF DANIEL ARAP MOI
Now that the process of setting up the Kenya Peace, Justice and Reconciliation Commission has began following the Peace deal struck by Prime Minister designate Raila Odinga and President Mwai Kibaki on 28th February 2008, Kenyans should prepare to come up with evidence that will help the Commission to move forward.
The following are part of the long list of Kenyans who lost their lives during the dictatorship of former President Daniel arap Moi. They should not be forgotten because they paid the ultimate price, not just in the struggle against Moi but also in the struggle for political pluralism which they never lived to see.
As the Justice and Reconciliation Commission prepares to begin its work to establish the truth behind the deaths of these victims of dictatorship, their names should also be permanently emblazoned on the “walls of freedom” whose construction is being engineered by the gallant Kenyan people determined to free themselves from neo-colonialism, internal dictatorship and imperialist domination.
