Ailing Kenyan Woman Disappears From Hospital
A Kenyan woman who has been recovering at a Swedish hospital and who was being threatened with deportation by a Swedish couple has gone missing from hospital. According to Mr. Tonny Odera who has been handling the case, the woman disappeared on Thursday last week.
Tonny told KSB that he suspects that the couple who have been behind the woman’s intimidation might be the people behind her mysterious disappearance. Hospital personnel at Huddinge where the woman was recuperating have refused to comment on the woman’s whereabouts.
At the time she disappeared, Mr. Daniel Kotutt, a senior official at the Kenyan Embassy, had began following up the woman’s case to establish how the Embassy could help. Mr. Kotutt said that the Embassy was planning to take up the matter with the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the woman’s employer is said to be working. The couple moved from Kenya about a year ago together with the woman after their tour of duty ended. The woman was working for the couple as a maid in Kenya. Mr. Kotut took contact with Tonny for a briefing although the matter never moved very far after news spread that the woman had disappeared from hospital.
Before her disappearance, the woman’s case had been taken up by “HIV Sweden”, an umbrella organization bringing together several HIV organization’s in Sweden. The woman was HIV positive and it is for this reason that HIV organizations have been in the front line in trying to establish the nature of her situation and how they could help. She was diagnosed with HIV after she was admitted at Huddinge Hospital following problems with her lungs.
When Tonny took contact with the woman through “Hetero-Plus”, an organization which looks into the interests of HIV positive people in Sweden, the woman claimed that the Swedish couple who had brought her to Sweden had detained her Passport in preparation for her deportation in case her health improved. In Sweden, she has been working for the couple as an Au Pair.
“There is absolutely no contact with her”, Tonny told KSB. Tonny could not speculate whether the woman might have been deported at short notice. At the time she got seriously ill, her property had reportedly been packed by her employer in preparation for her deportation to Kenya.
A Kenyan lady who met the woman in hospital before she went missing told KSB that she looked worried and that “she talked like someone who had been brainwashed”.

Rejoinder By Muigai To Messers Keter And Munene
Sirs; Both of you do have very valid points and the arguments presented are indeed thought provoking. However, there is an issue that both of you seem to be circumventing.
What has an election rigging got to do with the small man named Kamau, Otieno, Kipketer, or Mwachongi? Can any of you and anyone for that matter explain how the deaths of all Kenyans in the post elections period has affected the current administration in office? I do understand the frustration and the sheer anger at a government that treads on its electorate. Every Kenyan has experienced oppression regardless of ethnicity. In my opinion the response from the so called native peoples of Rift Valley and Nyanza had nothing to do with disaffection of the Kibaki administration.
If this anger was indeed caused and provoked by the Kibaki administration, how many government institutions and installations suffered the people’s wrath? In many countries, when citizens are angered by events attributed to the governing administration of the day, the pattern has always been there for all to see. We all saw the events as they unfolded at Tiananmen Square in China and, most recently, in Burma where dictatorial administrations were challenged by the electorate. Remember that even dictators have their supporters, even in the examples given.
This did not diminish the zeal of those opposed to the regimes. Kenya was at such a crossroad. Why then did people turn on each other and begin slashing, maiming, burning and raping all in the name of protest? What was the difference this time round? Why was Kibaki seen to exist, if it was indeed Kibaki that was “Shetani”, in other individuals just because they belong to the same ethnic community? What was the catalyst that ignited the burning embers of tribal strife?
I put it to you, the answer lies in the way the concept of Majimbo was presented. ODM was the only party that presented Majimbo as one of its major platforms in the election. According to ODM party leaders from areas that bore the brunt of ethnic violence, Majimboism means “kila mtu arudi kwao”. This, in essence, means that anyone who was not a native of a particular region would have to leave for their “ancestral region”. Basically people would pack and go away leaving behind what they know to be home with just the clothes on their backs.
Years of toil brought to naught just because they belong to a different ethnic community. Some ODM leaders would have Kenyans discriminate and “cleanse” their communities using ethnicity as the yardstick. When will this then translate to religion, skin color or hair texture? How does a political leader, be it at national or regional level, defend and attest to this thinly veiled blueprint to ethnic cleansing? It is purely diabolical, unethical and has no place in civilized society. Is it not the sworn duty of any leader to represent the people of his country and community regardless of race (read tribe), creed or color? Political leadership based on discrimination of any kind often has a boomerang effect, and once this door is opened there is no saying where it all ends.
PNU IS JUST ANOTHER CORRUPT PARTY USING MWANANCHI
Majimbo has its advantages and disadvantages just like anything else. Moreover since government policies put forth since 1963 by past administrations have resulted in glaring development discrepancies in most provinces of Kenya, save Central and Nairobi, why shouldn’t Majimboism be the way forward?
This is the reasoning of any sane Kenyan who has witnessed the Kenyatta, Moi and Kibaki administrations. Correct me if I’m wrong gentlemen, but it is to my understanding that Majimboism focuses entirely on regional independence both at the economic and political level in retrospect from centrally administered governance thereby giving the local populace the power and the ability to control their own destiny. This is the Majimboism I know as an ideology. The one some Kenyans are currently fighting for and about is one that I personally do not recognize nor want to be associated with.
Many arguments have been presented blaming the current levels of poverty and land ownership as the culprits in the events leading up to the post election killing fields of Kenya. I would equate such an argument with one such as, “Kenyans went on a killing spree because of high temperatures in the country”. The common Kenyan man has never contributed to government policy. Yes they vote politicians in, but that is where their political involvement ends.
There are, however, legislators both in the current administration and in opposition that have been members of successive government administrations. Whilst in power, they were privy and gave approval to policies that have resulted in the serfdom of the Kenyan people. Many of them are crying wolf and thumping their chests at the “horror” of rigging. They have lost millions invested in winning the elections and cannot abide with the thought that their place by the table of Kenya where they would “eat” to their fill has been taken by another person or evaporated. Where does Mwanainchi fit in this picture?
The truth of the matter is that Kenyans who both perpetuate and are victims of the atrocities that have been witnessed have much in common, irrespective of ethnicity and location in the country. But sadly, Kenyans are held ignorant of this fact by the village politics of tribe. This ignorance has been exploited by successive administrations, including the current one while the Opposition leaders are undoubtedly cut from the same cloth. They have deliberately exploited this channel of ignorance to fan the flames of ethnic hatred and the rest is history. Many live in camps today without basic necessities whilst the leaders they voted for play power games.
At this point some may want to label and dismiss me as a PNU sympathizer. Far from it, I tell you. My position is that it is just another politically and morally corrupt party bent on keeping the status quo. We have seen these parties and recognize them for what they are. They serve no other purpose other than to ride on the backs of Mwanainchi, feeding on their blood.
In ending, I wish to quote one of the founding fathers of the Kenyan nation Oginga Odinga:
It is “Not Yet Uhuru” in Kenya.

Kenya Crisis: Mr. Munene Got His Facts Wrong
I would like to thank Mr. Joseph Munene for calling on all Kenyans in Stockholm to have discussions regarding the situation in Kenya. This is a positive thought although I have a few concerns regarding his facts. After reading Mr. Munene´s views on events in Kenya, I paid lots of interest on some key issues he raised.
Mr. Munene stated that in Nakuru town, ODM promised boda-boda cyclists doing business that they would be given Taxis if ODM won elections. I have personally taken contact with a man in Nakuru who runs boda-boda business. His bicycle is numbered NM 42 (NM stands for Nakuru Municipality). According to him, he attended most of the rallies and the promises he heard from ODM are as follows:
That ODM will protect them from harassments from Matatu drivers. Matatu drivers believe that cyclists cause lots of obstructions on the Kenyan roads. ODM promised to construct better roads to solve this problem.
That ODM will ensure that the issuing of licenses to boda-boda cyclists would be speeded up. He might have missed the rally when the wonderful promise of Taxis was made!
Mr. Munene, I want to be open as much as possible. After all, this is what you have asked for. Kenyans have, in the past, received many promises from politicians which, to date, have not been fulfilled. No Kenyan has fought back physically for failed promises.
In one meeting I attended sometimes back in Eldoret when Kibaki was heading to Marakwet to thank them for voting for him in 2002, he told Kenyans: “Asanteni na mujienjoy!” Some people in the crowd asked him “tutajienjoy na nini, toa kitu mzee!”
He answered: “fanyeni kazi na mtapata pesa”. People asked: “wapi kazi?” and he said “mimi sina kazi, tafuteni!”
He had forgotten the promise he made before he came to power that his government would create half a million jobs per year. People just laughed. They never fought Kibaki.
Kenyans are sensible people. The promise which every Kenyan voter looked forward to and which they expected would be fulfilled without any problem was the delivery of a new and democratic Constitution within 100 days after Kibaki seized power 2002.
Hello! It would have been a record and would have kept Kibaki in the hearts of Kenyans forever had he kept this important promise.
Instead, Kenyans fought back wisely. This time round, they voted Kibaki’s government out of power (my stand is Raila won.) Currently, Kenyans are fighting for democracy. For a government to be called democratic, it must respect the majority principle during voting, among other requirements. Kibaki`s government did not respect this benchmark of democracy hence qualifies to be called “anti-democratic”.
ODM, like any other political Party, made promises. Kenyans are used to promises that are never fulfilled. Former dictator Daniel arap Moi made so many promises while in power but he never fulfilled them.
For example, he promised teachers a salary increment in four phases but later said that the government had no money. Moi lost teacher’s respect (Do not forget he was teacher number 1, apart from being farmer number 1!).
Thanks to Kibaki who implemented some of the undelivered phases when he took over power in 2002 on a popular vote. Kibaki earned respect from teachers, but the big promise, at the time of the 2007 2l2ction, was still pending – THE CONSTITUTION.
MUNENE’S SKEWED ANALYSIS PROMOTES TRIBALISM IN STOCKHOLM
I wish we could all understand one thing: Kenyans have never fought before after a General election. Why are they fighting this time round? The answer is simple. Elections were rigged in broad day light! (How I know this is an issue that could be discussed in an “open debate.”)
If Moi had handed over power to Uhuru in 2002, instead of Kibaki, I am sure Kenyans could have fought him violently. Moi had power to do that, but the little logic he still had told him to do the right thing – hand over power.
It is not logical to say that Kenyans are fighting because they do not expect changes in their lives with Kibaki as President because they had been promised more things by ODM. My reaction to this statement is: If ODM made promises which Kenyans thought could change their lives to the better, then they did the right thing, voted for ODM and the Party won. Kibaki should have handed over power after losing election so as to test whether ODM could deliver on its promises. Instead, Kibaki rigged elections.
2) The second issue mentioned by Munene is that ODM created illusions in people’s minds and that this is what has been driving them to do what they are doing.
ODM won elections and whether or not they created illusions in people’s minds is no explanation (as Munene would want KSB readers to believe) for the violence that has been witnessed across the country. To suggest that sheer illusions are responsible for the violence is to miss the big point because Kenyans and the world know that the violence is a direct reaction to rigged elections.
It is wrong for Mr. Munene to claim that ODM created illusions in the minds of supporters because since the Party was prevented from taking over power as a way of fulfilling its promises, it is too early to classify the promises as illusions.
The Taxi example used by Mr. Munene to underline his point is lacking in fact unless Mr. Munene can produce strong evidence that such an impossible promise was made by ODM. Majority of ODM rallies were well documented and I challenge Mr. Munene to come forward with evidence. In any case, how could the hawk-eyed Kenyan media have missed such a phantom promise?
Another issue is the recent fund raising which, according to Mr. Munene, was attended by one ethnic group. I wish Munene had used the terms “few Kenyans”. Do you now see that tribalism is deeply rooted in people’s minds? At what point did you start categorizing those who attended the fund raising in terms of their ethnicity? This kind of skewed analysis is what is promoting tribalism among Kenyans in Stockholm.
I had read a report by Mr. Muraya saying the fund raising was a success though the turnout was low. I support Mr Muraya when he says the turnout was poor, given that there are about 1000 Kenyans in Stockholm. Personally I was already involved in another humanitarian group. What is important here is: Are Kenyans in Stockholm doing something to help those at home?
My stand is, it is not ODM supporters who are fighting. It is Kenyans who know the meaning of democracy who are irritated. Personally, I am not a supporter of ODM. I support democracy and that is why I feel that if one understands this word, then he/she should fight to ensure that democracy is restored in Kenya (if we have ever had it).
In this case, ODM won elections and for Kenya to be seen as a democratic country in the eyes of the International community which Kenya is part of, the will of the majority should be respected. Kibaki and his PNU do not have the people’s mandate to rule Kenya and the protests which have so far been witnessed in Kenya is a Statement to this effect. This is the simple truth. Mr. Munene should not mislead Kenyans with cooked logic.
Chebet Keter, Stockholm.
Kenyan Women Set Up New Organization In Stockholm
Kenyan women in Stockholm have set up a new organization called Voice of Women (VOW). The organization, which is non-political and non religious, is an independent organization whose main agenda will be to create awareness on diverse issues among women and girls in Sweden and the world.
Membership to the new organization is open to all women and girls in Stockholm who are genuinely interested in bringing about change and transformation among women in Sweden and the world.
Those behind the organization are Pastor Betarice Kamau, Caroline Kanyuiro and Mrs Josephine Mberi. The organization will be launched on 8th March during the International Women’s day and all Kenyans of good will are invited. Although the organization will be controlled by women, men are also welcome to support, contribute ideas and help in any other way they deem fit.
After the launch on 8th March, there will be a Dinner Party that will also provide a platform for socialization and dissemination of information about the organization. The launch will take place at Pilotgatan 32 in Skarpnäck and all are welcome.
The initiative takers have appealed to Kenyan and Swedish women to arise and help build the new organization in the spirit of solidarity and togetherness.

Investigations Into Assault Case At Norsborg Begins
Investigation of a criminal case in which I was assaulted by a Kenyan national at a Party in December last year has officially began. I have already been interviewed by police about the case who used a Statement recorded at the scene of crime as the basis of investigations.
The case is expected to come to court after the end of investigations which will include interrogation of the Kenyan suspect. Before it is brought before the Court system, the investigating officer will deliver a Report to her boss who will then consider if there is enough evidence to enable the case to stand up in Court.
If the Kenyan has a case to answer, the police will then forward the case to the Prosecutor’s office which will make a final decision as to whether the case should go to Court.
It is still not clear whether the assault case carries a jail term but a lawyer familiar with such cases said that the sentence will be based on the magnitude of the case which will have to put into consideration different aspects of the investigation, the suspect’s police record, whether he is a first offender and other factors.
In Sweden, cases of assault are taken seriously especially if they can be proven to prevent people from losing confidence in the legal system and taking the law on their hands in subsequent or repeated assaults.

Joseph Munene’s Idea Is Good But…
I would like to support Joseph Munene on his point that Kenyans in Stockholm need to have an open debate to discuss the current sitauation in Kenya. What I wonder here is if Munene has heard of the slogan “POLITICS IS A DIRTY GAME”.
Surely Munene, when did you attend a political rally in Kenya last. If you ever have , I would be suprised. Kenyan political leaders tend to have the behaviour of using campaign rallies as a platform to take Kenyans to a paradise that never exists. This has happened from time immemorial. That is why, due to the illitracy and lack of information, some provinces never heard of anything like oppostion thus ending up voting in the same MP all their lives as voters.
The same paradise was built by both the ODM and PNU. This is usual to the Kenya politicians, the question here is; who is smart to build a better paradise for Kenyans. It would be very wrong for anyone to blame the current situation in Kenya on such paradises, because if yu are not aware, Kenyans are more informed now than ever before, not easily lured by the so called paradises.
I am very sure Kenyans did not cast their votes based on any paradise but actually made their right choice.
The question here is not who made right or wrong promises. It is nothing to be promised a Taxi from a boda boda after elections compared to being promised a Contitution that will not only change your life but that of your children …….then what happens?
Let us be honest here if we are to live as brothers and sisters willing to help our country KENYA. Let us hope that Koffi Annan takes Kenyans that extra mile of peace, we would love to see our country back to normal, as long as Kenyans are granted their right of choice, be it Mr. Kibaki or Mr. Raila..
I believe tribal issues are matters that the evil doers in Kenya are trying to create and this is when we should be careful as to who is the tribalist here.
Unfortunately , I was unable to attend the fundraising for the situation in Kenya , but still wonder which ethinic group attended. I would hate to imagine that people would attend such an occasion on their ethinc basis especially if the organizers are not from one ethnic group.

Joseph Munene Calls For Debate Among Kenyans In Stockholm
Mr. Joseph Munene, a Kenyan resident in Stockholm, has said that Kenyans in Stockholm should not allow themselves to be influenced negatively by the situation in Kenya. Speaking to KSB, Mr. Munene said that he was very concerned that there was a risk of polarization in Stockholm as a result of what was happening in Kenya and called for a discussion among Kenyans “to lessen tension”.
He said that he did not expect hatred between different ethnic groups in Stockholm as a result of what was happening in Kenya but pointed out that serious political differences had emerged between members of the community in a way that required debate.
“There should be an open debate about the situation in Kenya organized by Kenyans to confront the main issues”, Mr. Munene told KSB.
In a lengthy contribution, Mr. Munene said that he was in constant touch with friends and relatives in Kenya and gave examples in which different ethnic groups were discussing how they could live together as Kenyans despite what had happened in the country.
Mr. Munene said that the main problem in Kenya was that the small man was being used by the big man in the name of politics and urged Kenyans to try and understand this arrangement.
Mr. Munene told KSB that ODM had pumped Kenyans with a lot of promises and that it was partly due to this reason that ODM supporters were engaging in mayhem.
“In Nakuru, ODM supporters who have been running the business of “boarder boarder” (transporting people with bicycles) were promised that once ODM seized power, they would begin driving Taxis and this is part of the problem”, he said.
From Munene’s perspective, some Kenyans are rioting because they do not expect any changes to their lives with Kibaki as President because they had been promised more by ODM.
“ODM created illusions in people’s minds and this is what is driving them to do what they are doing”, he said.
Mr. Munene gave the example of a Kikuyu friend who was experiencing problems in Kenya because he had married a Luo woman.
“My friend is telling his critics that this is not a Luo woman, this is my wife and she can’t go anywhere because you don’t know where the two of us are coming from”, he said. Mr. Munene gave the example to underline the intricate difficulties some Kenyans were facing with the crisis in the country.
He said that he was disappointed that a fund raising organized recently by a Kenyan organization to assist victims of post election violence in Kenya was only attended by members from one ethnic group.
Mr. Munene urged KSB to continue being on the frontline in the fight against tribalism in Stockholm. He warned that KSB should not publish articles whose content might be misinterpreted, arguing that the blog has a lot of respect among Kenyans in Stockholm and beyond.
“What has happened in Kenya is tragic. But Kenyans in Stockholm should continue talking to one another, discussing the issues, meeting and helping one another as we have always done”, he said.

Kikuyus Adviced To Help Bring Down Kibaki
The other day, I relayed to you information that Nakuru and Naivasha were in the radar of attach from government agents supported by mungiki. Today, I bring you the inside story.
In a meeting chaired by John Michuki, various leaders from Central Province were tasked with responsibility of hitting back at the Luo community everywhere in Kenya . To Michuki and team, it is the Luo who have caused the Country to rebel against the Kikuyu colonial yoke.
In the Meeting, Chris Kirubi, Kabage Karanja, Joe Wanjui, Eddy Njoroge and Muhoho, Uhuru Kenyatta and George Thou were tasked to raise enough money to arm the Kikuyu in the event that the Luo retaliate.
George Saitoti was prevailed upon to avail military vehicles and bring out the GSU if things go out of hand. The GSU are to provide uniforms and arms to mungiki, and give them cover as they attack.
Maina Kamanda and Uhuru Kenyatta were told to buy more pangas since what they had already bought was deemed not to be sufficient. It is on record that Uhuru bought all the pangas at Nakumatt Ngong Road .
George Thuo and Linus Gitahi were to avail buses and vans to transport the mungiki and the arms to various parts of the country. To this end, George Thuo availed the following buses that took the first batch of warriors to Naivasha and Nakuru for the current mayhem;
KAY 658D, KAY 285E, KAE 126A, KAY 847L, KAY 194R, and KBA 219W.
The warriors were transported in these buses and the Nation vans from Nanyuki to their areas of operation.
As Kenyans who believe that the current planned killing of innocent Kenyans will not ensure victory for Kibaki, we are asking all Kenyans to come up and be each other’s keeper.
The church, and especially, Cardinal Njue, is in the mix of all this, and this is why he is not condemning Kibaki for the killings, but instead, tending to blame ODM for raising the issue of their victory that Kibaki stole.
The current mayhem, if left unchecked, will destroy the Kikuyu and all that they have worked for in Kenya . It is the Kikuyu who will loose and loose big. The Kikuyu cannot wedge a war against all Kenyans. The idea of attacking the Luo is misplaced, for we all know how ruthless the Luo are when provoked.
It is the Kikuyu property that will be destroyed, and all Kikuyus will be chased from all over Kenya . They cannot all fit into Central Province .
We must hence stop this senseless war being orchestrated by Michuki, Uhuru, Thuo, Gitahi, Saitoti, Karume and all those egocentric Kikuyus.
The Kikuyu must rise up against Kibaki, for it is Kibaki who has brought all this on our people. Had Raila been given his win, we could have been still as happily staying at all our various stations.

Ailing Kenyan Woman Facing Deportation
A Kenyan woman in her thirties is being threatened with deportation by a Swedish family who brought her to Sweden as an Au Pair but who now wants her to return to Kenya despite the fact that she is seriously sick.
The woman was rushed to Huddinge Hospital for emergency treatment after her lungs collapsed. As she continues to recover at the hospital, the Swedish couple who brought her to Sweden have reportedly detained her Passport and packed her property in readiness for her trip home as soon as she gets better.
The biggest problem is that soon after medical investigations by the Swedish authorities, it was discovered that the woman was suffering from HIV infection, prompting Doctors to begin the process of putting her on retroviral drugs to help save her life.
The woman’s predicament was discovered by Mr. Tonny Odera and Ms Caroline Ayodo, members of “Hetero-plus” who were shocked that the woman was facing deportation despite the fact that Swedish Doctors have said that she is unfit to travel. Hetro-Plus is an organization which looks into the interest of HIV positive people in Sweden.
Speaking to KSB, Tonny said that his organization took up the case “as a matter of urgency”, adding that the kind of mental and psychological suffering the woman was undergoing at the hands of a Swedish couple “was unacceptable”. Tonny got wind of the woman’s predicament through a tip by a contact.
According to the woman, she was working for the couple in Kenya where the Swedes were on a tour of duty under the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. When the couple was recalled about a year ago, they organized for the woman to travel along with them so that she could continue taking care of the couple’s two children in Sweden. The couple is currently based at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sources close to the woman say that she has been locked in the house, almost like a slave while the labor conditions she has been working under have been poor. She has a Work Permit which is soon expiring and she believes that her employer now wants her out of the country because since she is seriously sick she is no longer useful to the couple who do not want to take responsibility. She has been receiving poor pay because without a Work permit, she is not covered by the Swedish Labor laws.
Tonny told KSB that the woman has appealed for help from Kenyans, friends and well wishers. She says that she is not opposed to returning to Kenya but that at the moment, she is seriously sick and that she cannot travel.
Tonny said that in case she is deported, the woman will not have access to the kind of medication she needs and expressed the fear that the woman’s life may be in danger. The woman said that she had decided to go public with her condition as a last resort to try and save her life.

FDC Calls For East African Electoral Commission
Opposition party Forum for Democratic Change has called for the setting up of an East African Electoral Commission and East African Court of Appeal as some of the solutions to what it calls rampant election rigging in the region.
“We call upon all foreign interests in Kenya to be mindful of the interests of the Kenyan people and respect their inalienable right to choose their leaders,” a statement issued yesterday said.
“As Ugandans we note with much regret the ill-advised and unfortunate message of recognition and congratulation that was sent to Kibaki by President Yoweri Museveni shortly after his controversial swearing in.”
The statement further says that Kenyans have viewed Museveni’s congratulation message as an act of hostility to their efforts to achieve justice against Kibaki’s corrupt regime.
“In retaliation some of them (Kenyans) have responded by destroying life and property of some innocent Ugandans in that country. We call upon those Kenyans doing this to stop fighting would be allies and concentrate their efforts on the corrupt regime and their foreign backers,” the statement adds.
The FDC said PNU, like other African ruling parties have done, refused to accept defeat and hijacked the vote tallying process and carried out a national coup.

Rejoinder To “Proudly Kenyan”
It is only in Kenya elections where a Presidential candidate steals the vote then is later sworn in to assume Office in less than an hour without the national anthem being sung, the sword of power being handed over and without the presence of the diplomatic Corpse. Don’t mind that the “invited guests” were mainly family members of “The president’s” key sycophants. Then, the acceptance speech of the fake Prezzo says in part: “With elections now behind us…”. Sure, the riots are ahead!
In Kenya, you can create a serious crisis by stealing Presidential vote and as “talks” to resolve the crisis begins through some “eminent persons”, you sneak to an African Union summit as “President”. When you come back to Kenya, you tell the opposition complaining “to go to court” without caring about the talks! And that is after the UN Chief has already arrived in the country to “support the talks”, initiative where a former UN Chief is actually the Chief negotiator.
In Kenya, you steal elections then send your dogs to back to the effect that “there will be no negotiations with losers”. You then begin the negotiations and send the dogs away but as the agenda of the talks is being announced, you come back and say that the court system is the best option because election petitions have always been handled well in Kenya.
It is only in Kenya where police shoots a demonstrating civilian and after the action is captured on camera and broadcast on National TV news, the Police Boss comes and accuses the journalist of having “edited” the video to show that someone was shot by police. When evidence mounts, the police chief comes back on Telly and says that someone was actually shot and that action has now been taken. Kenya is a great country.
In Kenya, the Electoral Commission publishes an advert in the national dailies about contested election results then minutes later, the Chairman of that same Commission calls a Press conference and says that he doesn’t know anything about the advert because he was not consulted. Talk about Kivuitu the bandit.
Look at it this way. You loose an election in Kenya (Raphael Tuju, Musikari Kombo and former Vice president Moody Awori all lost). But in Kenya, it is OK that such losers were brought on TV News Conferences to answer questions from journalists to defend the government soon after elections were rigged. When Tuju was asked what he was doing at the Press conference yet he lost elections, he said “That is not an issue”. That is Kenya, our country.
The ban on “Live media coverage” was made by John Michuki, the Minsiter of Internal security. The ban was issued by Michuki as Minister even before the fake President announced the line up of his Cabinet. When push came to shove, Michuki ended up as Roads Minister! Only in Kenya! Besides, there is a “ban on live coverage” but news is actually being transmitted live because the news reader is always live. What happens next in Kenya? The government looks the other way! The vote of the House Speaker was transmitted live on TV despite the ban and the government did not prosecute. In other words, you can break laws before the media and get away with it. After all, elections were also rigged before the Media.
Just imagine this. An important personality like the Chairman of the Africa Union travels to Kenya urgently to try and resolve a stolen election crisis where people are being killed indiscriminately with more than quarter million internal refugees already created. When the AU Chairman arrives, the government spokesman Mutua announces that the AU boss has come to drink “a cup of tea” with the fake President. The Chairman later leaves empty handed. Only in Kenya!
Two opposition politicians are killed in less than 72 hours and before investigations can begin, the government plants stories in the media that the killings were the result of love gone sour. They call it “Love triangle”. Our country is really unique.
If you want to deal with anti-government demonstrators in Kenya, order police to shoot to kill otherwise you are losing it. That is Kenya and if in doubt, look at what Saitoti, the Minister of Internal security, told police. That is our country. If you love it, call it “business as usual” in the post election period!
You have a neighbor at Kibera slums and you have been borrowing one another stuff like salt, onions, tomatoes et al for more than 15 years. He is not a member of your tribe though. But once elections are rigged, you take a machete and cut his/her throat because the one who has rigged elections comes from his/her tribe. Don’t say that this happened in Rwanda because there, elections were not rigged! Its only showing in Kenya. 2B Continued…

Yours Proudly Kenyan
Najivunia kuwa mkenya – this is because Kenya is a very special and unique country. Many things that happen in Kenya have never been witnessed anywhere else in the world.
Sample this:
Kenya is probably the only country which insists on being called a democracy while it definitely isn’t. Kenya is probably the only country in the world whose Electoral Commission boss declares that he doesn’t know who won in the presidential race – yet statehouse continues to be occupied.
It must only be in Kenya where he that wins in two provinces defeats he that wins in six provinces – isn’t this interesting? Kenya is surely a country with a transport network that is simply
unpredictable and just can’t be explained.
Sample this – results from Wajir, Funyula, Budalangi, Isiolo, and Lodwar take a just day to reach KICC Nairobi , yet results from Kiambaa (just past Muthaiga-Kiambu) take more than three consecutive
days being transported to Nairobi.
Am sure Kenya must be the only country in the world where 95,000 votes are realized in constituencies with only 70,000 registered voters – truly Kenyan ama?
Kenya must be the only country in which a presidential candidates name goes missing in the Voters register in his own constituency on polling day.
It must only be in Kenya where the winning party has its deputy captain (vice president) and 20 ministers swept away by the opposition’s tsunami. The most ‘popular’ party then gets only 35 MPs while the ‘unpopular’ one scoops 100 parliamentary seats.
Kenya must be the only country whose citizens don’t learn from the mistakes of others. The KANU-LDP MOU was dishonoure by Moi, the NAK-LDP MOU was trashed by Kibaki now ODM-KENYA trusts PNU to honour their recently signed MOU – how naive.
Kenyans are a very interesting lot. The words GRAND COALITION or PARTY CHAIRMAN means absolutely nothing to the Kenyan voters. Sample this – all the party chairmen in PNUs Grand Coalition lost their seatsto the opposition.
FORD KENYA – Chairman Musikari Kombi – OUT
FORD PEOPLE– Chairman Simeon Nyachae – OUT
NARC KENYA – Chairman Raphael Tuju – OUT
TIP– Chairman Kalembe Ndile – OUT
NEW FORD KENYA– Chairman Mukhisa Kituyi – OUT
SAFINA– Chairman Paul Muite – OUT
AGANO– its Chairman – OUT
MAZINGIRA– Chairman Wangari Maathai – OUT
FORD ASILI– Its Chairman stood no chance
CHAMA CHA MASIKINI –Chairman Assitant Minister Koigi Wamwere – OUT
Lastly, Kenya must be the only country which insists that it has a free press, yet if media houses are not being raided then they are being BANNED from live broadcasting. You see why I love my unique country?
Yours proudly Kenyan
