ODM has released its Report detailing vote rigging by PNU. We understand that after Archbishop Desmond Tutu was shown the Report, he simply packed his belongings and returned to South Africa because “there was nothing to negotiate”. Kibaki had stolen the vote.
Initially, the United States government congratulated Kibaki but quickly withdrew the congrants when the situation became “hot” on the ground. However, the US continued to encourage Raila Odinga, President elect, to talk to Kibaki to form a government of “National Unity” or to enter into a Coalition government.
Jendayi Frazer, the American envoy sent to sort out the crisis, has changed tune after going through the ODM Rigging Report. She has told CNN that “The Kenyan people were cheated” and warned of “wide gaps” between Kibaki and Raila. DOWNLOAD THE REPORT HERE – pdf 7.4 MB (Courtesy of Mars group)
