“Kikuyu Community Should Wake Up”, Says Mercy Gachoka
My name is Mercy Gachoka and I am currently studying in Finland. I have been following the current events and the prior happenings that seems to have taken Kenya to the shameful state it is in right now. I was born and grew up in Kenya and that is the only home that I only know.
I have therefore decided to speak and come to the rescue of my people who are being misused by the current government because I cannot contain it anymore.
I highly condemn the injustice performed against Hon. Raila Odinga by open rigging and the dictatorial approach employed by the illegitimate Kibaki government to retain power. This is the worst dictatorship of its kind in the 21st century.
It is unfortunate that most Kikuyus are paying the price of their selfish leaders. I would like to make it clear that Kibaki was a “President of his close allies” and we as Kikuyus should also refuse to pay the price of the sacrificial lamb.
I just got to know of Martin Ngatia through a friend and I would like to connect to him because I believe he has God given wisdom on the country’s way forward. I would like to get in touch with Martin and I would really appreciate if you helped me do it.
I share the same dream with him (and I believe all of you) that Kenyans have got the power to refuse the divide and conquer approach which has been used by both Kibaki and Moi regimes as a survival strategy in their leadership while thousands of Kenyans remain in a sorry state.
Yours Sincerely,
M. Gachoka

KSB NOTE
We agree that we are one Nation. We are also saddened by the killings and even appalled that some of our countrymen “celebrated” Kibaki’s stolen Presidency. We hope that you will use the contacts sent via mail to reach Mr. Martin Ngatia. He is one of the best politicians we have in Stockholm.

Beryl Otumba Says Kibaki Has Let Kenyans Down
All Kenyans MUST today rise and condemn, to the highest degree, the abhorable manner in which their freedom, lives and rights have been snatched away by power-hungry and heartless individuals.
Kenya, being a young democracy, has been applauded domestically and internationally in the last few years for the tremendous growth of her people politically. It is such a shame that something this valuable that Kenyans have invested so much time (decades) in can be stolen from them in just 48 hours.
I take this opportunity to show respect to the now over 300 Kenyans who have so far lost their lives….lives that could have been saved if only cowards like Mr. Kivuitu were brave enough not to give in to ‘pressure’ and stand up for Kenyans.
It is such a shame that a respected Institution like the ECK has let Kenyans down to this level to satisfy the greed and heartlessness of few individuals.
The ECK is a body entrusted, by Kenyans and even the international community, to bear the electoral torch for Kenya. What they have instead given Kenyans is bloodshed and an uncertain future; a future that may forever be marred by uncalled for ethnic hatred.
I hope people like Kivuitu do not sleep at night in the wake of the agony of innocent Kenyans. Kivuitu’s confession yesterday is by all means a cowardly act that only shows his level of heartlessness in the wake of despair and pain among Kenyans. Lives have been lost and deep ethnic wounds opened that will take decades to heal.
We have a ‘President -elect’, who was voted in ‘freely and fairly’ by the people of Kenya. It is surprising that the same people who voted in ‘our President’ are today in the greatest pain of their lives. Their Freedom of Movement, Freedom of Information and Speech have since been curtailed. These Kenyans have today been slaughtered, burnt alive, shot dead, orphaned, left homeless and unsure of what tomorrow holds.
The Kenyan people who were once proud of their peaceful country are today sent running from the same country, seeking refuge in neighbouring countries.
And the worst thing of all is that democracy and freedom may have suffered an early death in Kenya FOREVER. Who will ever again get up at 4 a.m to go cast their votes when at the end of the day, their votes, voices and choices don’t count?

Kibaki Must Step Down: Sign The Petition
The international community is very much aware that Mwai Kibaki and his Party of National Unity (PNU) rigged the December 2007 Kenyan presidential election.
In recognition of this fact, the European Union, Britain, and the United States have refused to recognize the Kibaki government as legitimate.
As members of the international community, we do not intend to allow this blatant act of disregard for the rule of law and for the will of the people of Kenya to go unchallenged.
The list of evidence of election irregularities compiled in this petition contains widely known facts and has been corroborated by various news sources.
1) All polls taken before the election favored Raila Odinga and his party, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), with Odinga leading Kibaki by a margin of 4%. A mid-December report by the government’s own intelligence service gave Raila Odinga an even larger lead of 8% to 15% over Mwai Kibaki. As the election drew near, the Steadman poll, which is conducted under the leadership of George Waititu, a close friend of Kibaki’s, showed Kibaki catching up to Odinga although the total for the three leading candidates added up to 101%.

Kenya Elections: Tribute To KSB Readers
KSB is now closing down the Presidential Opinion poll which was set up late last year. At closing time, the results show that majority of those who participated in the polls favoured Raila Amollo Odinga for Presidency. Out of a total of 349 votes, Raila got 57% (200), Kibaki 40% (138) and Kalonzo Musyoka 11% (11).
We take this opportunity to thank all KSB readers who participated in the poll. The struggle has now entered into a new stage where Kibaki has stolen the vote and Kenyans are demanding that Kibaki step down. So far, more than 300 Kenyans have been killed after Kibaki assumed the Presidency illegally. The home guards who have held Kenya hostage must be defeated. It is a trying moment in our country. Tuko pamoja.

Opening Of Schools Pushed Forward
Opening of Primary and Secondary schools in Kenya have been postponed up to 15th January. The move comes in the wake of political violence precipitated by a secret installation of Mwai Kibaki as President of Kenya. So far, over 300 Kenyans have been killed in the violence.
Banks have been unable to operate while ATM machines are also dead. There is food shortage because shops and Supermarkets have not been operating. Shelves in the few Supermarkets that have been open have been emptied.
Rumours that former Dictator Daniel arap Moi fled the country are not true. Through the media, the former Dictator has appealed to Kenyans to maintain the peace although this plea is likely to go unheeded because Moi campaigned for Kibaki who stole the vote after he was defeated by Raila Amollo Odinga.

Million Match: ODM Asks Gov To Provide Security
In a Press conference today Tuesday January 2nd, ODM has repeated that the million match rally scheduled for tomorrow thursday 3rd January, will proceed as planned. William Ruto, a member of ODM Pentagon, said that the police have been informed and that ODM expects police to provide security during the rally.
Speaking to the Press, Mr. Musalia Mudavadi, a leading member of ODM, appealed to ODM supporters to be peaceful during the rally and to avoid acts of lawlessness and hooliganism that might give police excuses to attack the rally.
The fake Kibaki government has banned the rally but the ODM Pentagon has said that it will proceed, arguing that banning the rally in a violation of the Kenyan Constituion which provides for Freedom of Assembly. The law says that organizers of such rallies must give a three day’s notice to police, a requirement which ODM has fulfilled.
