US Withdraws Congratulatory Message To Fake Kibaki Government

The United States government has withdrawn a congratulatory message to the fake Kibaki government, replacing their initial statement released yesterday with the following:

“The Kenyan people exercised their right to vote on December 27 and turned out to vote in record numbers. The United States has concerns about irregularities in reporting the results, which should be resolved promptly through constitutional and legal remedies. We call on the Kenyan people to avoid violence.

“We urge all parties to restrain their supporters and reach out to each other to find a peaceful resolution in the interest of continuing to advance Kenya’s democracy and development. The United States is working with all parties to this end”.

The Press statement was released by Tom Casey, Deputy spokesman at Washington DC on December 31st.

An earlier statement released by the State department immediately after Dictator Mwai Kibaki was fraudulently sworn in as President of Kenya at a secret function at State House attended by families of Kibaki’s sycophants said:

“We obviously congratulate the President on his election”.

The statement was released by department spokesman Rob McInturff . It added:

“Again we would call on the people of Kenya to accept the results of the election and to move forward with the democratic process,”

The statement was followed by a statement from ODM Scandinavia released Monday Dececember 31st which said:

“Both British and US Imperialism has called on Kenyans to accept the rigged elections. This position should be a lesson to Kenyans that the so called election observers are hopeless and Kenyans should stop putting their hope on observers as a force that could enhance democracy and justice in Kenya”.

The statement was signed by Mr Martin Ngatia, ODM Scandinavia Vice Chairperson. The statement added:

“To tell Kenyans to accept the results is tantamount to endorsing figures of an election which was rigged before the Media. It is a lesson that the interest of Imperialism in the situation is to maintain the status quo for purposes of a peaceful exploitation of Kenyan resources by Imperialist agents”.

The US Ambassador to Kenya, Michael Ranneberger, met President elect Raila Amollo Odinga in Nairobi  today 31st December although details about their discussion has not been made public.

ODM-Scandinavia Statement After Election Rigging In Kenya

The rigging of elections in Kenya by Mwai Kibaki in cahoots with Electoral Commissioner Samuel Kivuitu and a gang of home guards surrounding Kibaki marks the darkest moment in Kenyan history. Kibaki has illegally installed himself as “President” at a secret function at State House and moments after his “swearing in”, the dictator banned live coverage of events in Kenya, imposed a media blackout and gave a “shoot to kill” order to the murderous GSU paramilitary personnel.

Because of the presence of GSU in the streets of major towns and cities, the whole country now looks like it is under military occupation. More than 10 civilians have been killed.

The country has been plunged into chaos as angry youths took to the streets to protest the open rigging of elections. ODM has announced that the Party will install the President elect Raila Amollo Odinga on Monday December 31st while the Party has also announced that it will set up a “Parallel government” as the struggle against the Kibaki dictatorship also begins in earnest.

The open rigging of elections by Kibaki has shocked millions of Kenyans who believed that the “era of rigging elections” went following the defeat of former Dictator Daniel arap Moi in 2002. Secondly, the failure by Kibaki to concede defeat after a clear victory has marked the end of the “democratic process” as a means of political Parties getting to power through “transparent elections” in Kenya.

After victory was stolen by Kibaki, we hope that ODM leadership will not build fresh illusions that they will seize power through another election in 2012 and it is for this reason that struggling from a position of “Parallel government” is significant.

The plan to install Raila Odinga as “The People’s President”, together with plans to set up a Parallel government promises to usher in the use of “alternative methods of struggle” to defeat a determined and murderous dictator whom Kibaki has now become. With Raila’s swearing in plan and “Parallel government” strategy, the options of struggle on the table for ODM is civil disobedience or mass insurrection to force Kibaki out of power.

ODM-Scandinavia congratulates the mother Party in Kenya for the bold decision it has taken to install Raila Odinga as “The People’s President” while the decision to form a parallel government is not just unprecedented in Kenya but also promises to take the anti-Kibaki struggle to new and lethal heights which, nevertheless, is rout with risks and dangers.

From an analytical perspective, Kibaki has now completed his cycle as a ruthless dictator and what will happen is that he will employ the use of the State machine to unleash violence against ODM leaders and supporters under the pretext of “threat to State security”. In a statement from “Internal security Ministry”, freedom of press was the first to be attacked with the banning of live news coverage and broadcast of material that could “incite” the public.

IMPERIALIST OBSERVERS ARE HOPELESS
For his political survival, the next freedom that the Kibaki dictatorship will curtail is “Freedom of Assembly” followed by an attack on “Freedom of Movement” to prevent ODM from organizing political rallies and stop its leaders from moving freely to advance the anti-Kibaki struggle. For this reason, ODM Scandinavia believes that the mother Party should have a long term strategy in directing the anti-Kibaki struggle in the streets ie “Plan B”

The easiest option for the Party will be to use the issue of rigging of elections to convince workers to lay down their tools in order to paralyze the government as mass protests in the streets also continue.

The inevitable eruption of anarchy in the streets (which will be delivered by the youth) will bring business to a standstill and deprive the government the “peaceful atmosphere” it needs to “boost investor confidence”. In Mombasa, ODM youths have the capacity to paralyze the tourism industry with Hotels running empty and tourists fleeing as violence escalates.

The inevitable and long term use of State violence against ODM leaders and supporters may call for a “Stringent options” otherwise it will be impossible for the Movement to address the question of force that will repeatedly be used by the Kibaki government to try and crush ODM.

The Party has 4 million plus followers and it is at this critical time that supporters need a strong leadership that can stand up to Dictator Kibaki who is reversing the democratic gains of the last 44 years.

Both British and US Imperialism has called on Kenyans to accept the rigged elections. This position should be a lesson to Kenyans that the so called election observers are hopeless and Kenyans should stop putting their hope on observers as a force that could enhance democracy and justice in Kenya.

To tell Kenyans to accept the results is tantamount to endorsing figures of an election which was rigged before the Media. It is a lesson that the interest of Imperialism in the situation is to maintain the status quo for purposes of a peaceful exploitation of Kenyan resources by Imperialist agents.

As ODM forms a parallel government in Kenya, ODM-Scandinavia states that it does not recognise the Kibaki dictatorship. The Party is fully behind initiatives by ODM and will work to realise the political objectives of the mother Party in Kenya.

Lastly, ODM-Scandinavia appeals to supporters in Scandinavia who have not yet registered with the Party to do so because the struggle against the Kibaki dictatorship has just began.

ODM-Scandinavia Statement On Vote Rigging By Kibaki

vote rigging odm supporters violence

Since voting ended on Thursday 27th December, the Kenya Electoral Commission (ECK) has failed to announce results for the winning Presidential candidate sparking riots in Eldoret, Kisumu, Nairobi and other parts of the country. During the delay, the Presidential vote has been rigged through machinations by Neo colonial home guards surrounding Kibaki.

In the words of Samwuel Kivuitu, the Electoral Commissioner, returning officers from numerous polling stations “cannot be traced” because their phones were dead. Kenyan TV stations have broadcast shocking scenes featuring illegal ballot boxes and bogus Presidential ballot papers being intercepted at polling stations. In Kamukunji, the rigging was so intensive that the Electoral commissioner has cancelled the results and ordered new elections.

The rigging was so obvious that ODM members had to physically stop Commissioner Kivuitu from continuing with announcements because votes that were being announced were not tallying with what ODM agents had signed against at polling stations. Chaos reigned supreme at KICC where the announcements were being made forcing a bunch of General Service Unit (GSU) personnel to be mobilized into the hall. Votes from Nithi, Tigania West, South Imenti, Kiambaa and numerous polling stations do not tally with results recorded by ODM agents and the rigging tactic appears to have been manipulation of records by thieves working for Kibaki.

ODM’s intervention (which halted the announcements) forced the Electoral Commissioner to accept that Presidential candidates send two representatives to verify results in disputed stations in the 210 Constituencies before the final announcement can be made. This background is very disturbing in view of the serious consequences of a rigged Presidential vote in Kenya.

While Kibaki has clearly been voted out of office on an “ODM Platform of change”, the election represented a struggle between corrupt pre-colonial home guards on the one hand and national democratic forces seeking to advance the anti-colonial struggle in Kenya on the other. Geezers like Moody Awori, former Vice president and Njenga Karume were voted out.

The rigging of the vote to prevent President elect Raila Amollo Odinga from taking over power is based on the fear by the home guards that Raila will re-open cases of mega corruption scandals (like Anglo-Leasing) that have plagued the Kibaki government since the Septuagenarian dictator was voted in Office in 2002 following the popular defeat of former murderer Daniel arap Moi who ran down the country for 24 years.

The home guards surrounding Kibaki suffer from serious ethnic chauvinism while they adhere to an old fashioned and equally ethnic based belief that “a non Kikuyu can never lead Kenya”. They have mismanaged and ruined the country using a callous agenda of tribalism, nepotism, cronyism and corruption that Raila’s Presidency has promised to wipe out and put the country on the road to progress.

KENYA MUST BE FREE BY THE BALLOT OR THE BULLET
Because of the enormous wealth they have stolen while playing dirty politics of hatred and hostility towards other ethnic groups, the home guards are trembling because their worst nightmare has come true – Raila has been elected President of Kenya in a popular and historic election that promises to open a new era of change and transformation. The home guards are shaking because of the thousands of murders they have perpetrated against Kenyan people, murders that they fear, will be addressed by Raila through the establishment of investigative bodies seeking justice to the victims of human rights violations and families whose loved ones have been murdered by Kibaki regime.

Instead of accepting defeat and facing the consequences of theft and years of ineptitude, the home guards are trying to cling on to power through crude-style vote rigging in the hope that this will postpone their day of reckoning.

In the process of implementing this mucky scheme, the Kibaki loyalists are exposing ordinary Kikuyu workers, businessmen and youth to unwarranted physical attacks from ODM supporters, some of whom translate the rigged elections by the home guards as an overall “Kikuyu conspiracy” against the Kenyan people. ODM Scandinavia believes that the millions of poor and deprived Kikuyus who supported Kibaki are victims of “ethnic brainwashing” by home guards using them as pawns in a political chess game.

As part of a crude rigging lay out, the strategy of the home guards is to bank on the State’s instruments of violence to contain an inevitable “mass insurrection” against Kibaki or a general uprising by Kenyans who have stated that Kenya “will go to war” if Kibaki does not concede defeat and hand over power to President elect Raila Amollo Odinga. Bringing about change in Kenya through the ballot has been accomplished by Kenyans after years of struggle and if Kibaki undermines this step through rigging, the next option might as well be the bullet (Mtutu).

The sporadic violence that has now erupted across the country is seen by ODM Scandinavia as “an introduction” of things to come if Kibaki steals the vote. ODM-Scandinavia believes that the violence should be directed at agents of election rigging and not ordinary Kikuyus who have nothing to do with Kibaki’s rigging machine. While Kikuyus who voted for Kibaki were exercising their democratic right to vote for a candidate of their choice, the rigging of the vote is a punishable and criminal act which should not be accepted by anybody who believes in democracy.

The thinking of the home guards is that it is better to plunge the country into chaos than hand over power to President elect Raila Odinga, a big miscalculation which, ODM Scandinavia believes, will come back to haunt the perpetrators whom, we believe, should be arrested, chained and caged to face justice for crimes against the Kenyan voters.

The position of ODM-Scandinavia is that Raila Amollo Oding is the popular and democratically elected fourth President of the Republic of Kenya and the Party branch will not accept rigged results under any circumstance.

While sections of the foreign election monitoring units have appealed for calm and tranquillity, we believe that ODM supporters should do everything within their means to defend the ODM victory in the historic December 27th elections. We sympathize with foreign observers who have made appeals to Kenyans “to shun violence” because the ballot is part of the peaceful democratic process and once this process is abused through open rigging of elections, bloody violence becomes inevitable as a way of seeking redress.

Kibaki could send the riot police and GSU in the streets to crush popular resistance to rigging but these forces will never be able to defeat a determined people who have voted out a senile and corrupt dictator now seeking to plunge the country into chaos as a tactic of political survival.

Apartheid was defeated through violence. The Palestinian struggle has been recognized because of the element of violence in their struggle. If Kibaki rigs elections, ODM-Scandinavia believes that the use of violence as a method of struggle will become legitimate because Kenya must be free by the ballot or the bullet.

With 95 ODM-MPs and a hostile electorate which has just weeded out a rotten bunch of corrupt home guards, and with a determined Kenyan people seeking to defend an election from being stolen under their very noses through the so called Electoral Commission, we wish to state that Kibaki will not be able to govern Kenya and this is the message ODM-Scandinavia wishes to send to the defeated Kibaki and old guard criminals duping him that rigging election will succeed. Our intelligence indicates that it will not work!

Kenya Elections: Alarm Bells From Stockholm

ODM-Scandinavia wishes to announce that the Party branch is getting concerned at the delay in the announcement of the Presidential vote. It is over 29 hrs since the casting of the ballot but so far, no official announcement has been made.

The election results continues to flactuate. We have contacts with ODM headquarters and the Kenyan media including KTN and what we have seen is that at one point, Raila has been leading with 58.7% against Kibaki’s 39% while at another point, Raila’s lead has gone down to 50% against Kibaki’s 43% then Raila picks up the lead again with 58.7% then kibaki going down to 39% within a few hours.

So far we have not seen any fundamental change in the figures and this situation is creating serious  concerns within ODM Scandinavia members as to how the winning percentage continue to be tabulated.

There is evidence that ballot papers have been introduced at specific polling stations for example Kamukunji, Matuga and Saitoti’s Kajiado in favour of Kibaki’s PNU candidates and this situation contiues to point to possible rigging.

We, ODM Scandinavia, recommends that the President elect Hon H.E Raila Amollo Odinga should call a Press conference and make an official statement concerning the issue because from our point of view, it looks like there are some irregularities going on.

This is not the first election in Kenya and, from our point of view, we are smelling an element of rigging of elections which we will not accept.

The ODM leadership should put on their “alert gears” because all indications are that something fishy is going on.

We demand that election results should be announced immediately by the Electoral commission. At the same time, we wish to appeal to Kenyans not to be duped during the delays in announcing the winner.

The anti-Kibaki struggle has been long and Kenyans should not accept the result of a rigged election.

Mrs Hellen opwapo for

ODM Scandinavia executive committee.

ODM-Scandinavia To Meet at Wananchi Pavillion Today

 odm_s chairlady

ODM-Scandinavia members will meet today Friday 28th December to monitor and discuss Kenya election results. The meeting comes in the wake of indications that ODM is on its way to power in Kenya.

Latest results indicate that the Party’s Presidential candidate Hon Raila Odinga is on the lead with 2.4 million votes with Kibaki trailing with 1.6 million votes. ODM-Scandinavia’s Executive committee has promised to release a comprehensive statement as the situation in Kenya also becomes clearer.

In the meantime, the Chairperson of ODM-Scandinavia Mrs Hellen Opwapo has called on all Kenyans in Scandinavia to remain united regardless of the parties they supported during elections.

She said that although it appears as though ODM is on the lead, ODM supporters should relax and wait for the final outcome which, she said, is expected later today. She added that the Party branch continues to receive regular election updates from Nairobi and hoped that ODM will form the next government.
